Spring Creek Journey

The Spring Creek Journey. Beginning at the birthplace of one of our Driftless spring creeks, where you see the purest water emerge from the ground and beneath the rocks. Following its path as it builds its strength through the addition of two other key springs along with small feeders. Breaking its way into and through the familiar Driftless pastures, while finally emptying into the main spring creek.

So What Exactly is the Driftless Area?

I’ve heard this question many, many times. People who have lived in this unique region their whole life have either no idea what the name implies or have never even heard of the area being referred to as “Driftless” (most of the time it’s the latter). Therefore, I felt it was necessary to kick things off with explaining the geology of this extraordinarily rare region that we call the Driftless Area.
