This time of year in the driftless, the stream bank vegetation has taken over and stream access can be a bit challenging. Likewise, in the stream, the underwater vegetation forms seams presenting nice feeding lanes for the opportunistic trout. What we found today with not only the sporadic hatches of caddis, but the terrestrials coming onto the stage to give the trout a nice change of pace to their diet. Today they did not disappoint with aggressive takes to stealthful casts.
