It was a very warm mid-morning in the driftless so forest covered headwaters were sought. No hatches were evident save for some sporadic midges. Overgrowth and thick bank cover made casting difficult, so decided on heavily dressed caddis dries presented in unconventional ways. Driftless trout are like a good friend – they never let you down.
