Insect Hatching Activity: Caddis, Midge, Crane Fly
Trout activity initially started slow but warmed up as the morning progressed. The sky was overcast with decent wind gusts from time to time. Dead-drifted nymphs produced several takes followed by topwater action once air temperatures prompted hatching activity. A bedded fawn was a highlight of the day in this pristine and pastoral Driftless valley.
