After experiencing rain and periods of storms the day prior, the stream conditions in the Iowa Driftless Area today were excellent. Typical of our Driftless spring creek ecosystem, the discolored water was quickly filtered out overnight and water levels were right back to normal this morning. Brown trout and rainbow trout were aggressively moving for small streamers, but midge patterns would have produced as well. The majestic rock formations lining the stream were also a sight to be had today.
